For a comfortable and healthy flying experience:
Air Travel in today’s India has become a highly preferred option. And considering a human body is sensitive to change, a healthy flying experience remains a concern for many. Committed to making your flying time most comfortable, we like to recommend a few steps which will help augment your flying experience.
Before the Flight:
  • Please drink lots of water and control the intake of alcohol, coffee and tea.
  • A stroll after the check-in is recommended
  • Avoid eating heavy.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
  • Keep your skin moisturized.
During the Flight:

  • While you are seated, rotate your ankles, stretch and flex your leg muscles, arms, shoulders and neck at regular intervals to relax your body and boost blood circulation.( mentioned below) to avoiding cramps by optimizing blood circulation.
  • Avoid eating heavy.
Inflight Safety norms:
Safety remains a primary concern for all of us. Kindly pay attention to the inflight announcements upon takeoff and landing. Do make it a habit of referring to the information sheet on safety procedures kept in the seat pocket. In case of any concerns, please contact your flight attendant immediately.
Electronic Devices:
Use of hand held devices such as mobile phones, radios, GPS locators and remote controlled toys are prohibited during flight hours. Please keep your mobile phones switched off during the flight. Personal computers and video games can be used during flying hours but must be switched off during taking off and landing.
Smoking:
As per government regulations, smoking is totally prohibited on board any flight. As a measure of strict compliance, the aircraft's toilet has detectors installed. Penalties will be levied upon those not complying with the regulations.

Advisory
As per the current DGR requirements power bank is not permissible to be carried in Check In baggage.
The BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security) have come out with an advisory declaring locally made Power bank as prohibited item not permissible for carriage on person, hand baggage and Check-In baggage, and air cargo consignment. Therefore air passengers are advised not to carry with them such locally made power bank during the journey.

A lot of people may find that carrying their heavy bags around to be a bit of a chore, this is why Left Luggage is on hand to help lighten the load and allow you to safely and securely store your Luggage at our secure storage facility until your return whether this is a matter of hours, days or weeks.
Our Left Luggage facility is located at the airport connect building (Metro Station) in Terminal-3. Domestic and International passengers can leave luggage for a maximum of 30 days at a certain charge after presenting their boarding pass and a valid photo id.

Bus
travel to delhi airport Buses are the most common and cheapest way to travel around the city. They are fairly reliable and are one of the fastest ways to travel within the city too. Did you know that Delhi boasts of the World's largest eco-friendly CNG bus service?
Most buses are owned either by the State-owned Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) or the private contractors. The corporation runs shuttle service at a regular interval (every 30 minutes) connecting the airport to the central parts of Delhi including Connaught Place & Interstate Bus Terminal. These buses are equipped with comfort of air-conditioning and convenient for travel even with baggage at a nominal fare.
All buses coming towards Terminal 3 will arrive and depart from a ‘staging area’ located opposite Centaur Hotel. From there to the Airport Terminal IGIA will provide a shuttle bus, every 15 minutes. For the convenience of our passengers this service will run 24x7.
Bus services
Regular bus services are available from inter-state bus terminals in the city. The services are extended to all the northern states and the neighbouring areas of Delhi. Services are provided by state transport corporations and several private operators. The inter-state terminals in city are:

  • Anand Vihar ISBT in Trans-Yamuna area
  • Sarai Kale Khan ISBT in South-East Delhi

Tips To Remember
Buses can be very crowded and may not be easy for a tourist visiting India for the first time. Take your time at the bus stop and see for yourself and then get on a bus.

Lost and Found Baggage: The Lost and Found Office (link) is available to assist you in finding objects you might have lost or misplaced at the airport only. All lost and found merchandise is only kept upto 3 months, after which it is auctioned off for a good cause.The Lost and Found office is open from 09:30 to 18:00 hours Monday through Friday. On Saturdays the office is open from 09:30 to 13:30 hours only

PROCEDURE FOR CLAIMING LOST ITEMS
The Item may be claimed by the Owner and should be in possession of the following documents:-
  • Copy of Boarding Card/ proof of journey
  • Copy of Passport/ ID card issued by any Government Unit
  • Details of the items being claimed.
Or
The authorized person should carry the following documents.
  • Letter of "authorization letter" to be filled and signed by owner. The owner should also mentioned details of the items being claimed.
  • Copy of Boarding card
  • Owner’s Government authorized photo id preferably Passport / Driving License / Aadhaar Card / Voter card
Photo -I card of the person who is authorized to collect the Item.
The Authorization may be on name of individual, Courier Service provider or Airlines.
Lost and found items deposited at T3 , T-1 and T-2 ( LP section may be claimed from respective terminal itself within 05 days from the date/time of deposit in that section.
If any Lost and found item is required to be collected after working hours (i.e 1730 hrs), please fix appointment 24hrs in advance at lostproperty.dial@gmrgroup.in
Perishable, eatable, flammable & DGR goods are not accepted in lost & found. Any such item if found will be disposed off within 12hours”.
NOTE:- The article must be collected within 90 (ninety) days from the date of deposit. On expiry of 90 days, it is disposed off as per company policy. Thereafter, the lost property department shall cease to entertain any claims on the article thereon.

Inter Terminal transfer
As you transfer or transit through our terminals, we want to make sure that you do that with ease and comfort.
A complimentary airport shuttle connects T1, T2 & T3 at regular intervals of 20 minutes. Passengers on airlines in T3 have to just follow the clearly marked signage assisting them in making their transfer seamless and hassle free.
