As part of continuous process to improve customer experience, Delhi Airport Parking Services (DAPS) effective from 14th September 2021 has upgraded the parking management system to a contactless parking using FASTag technology.
This is another step towards digitalization in the DAPS’s endeavour to provide solutions to its customers especially in these times when contactless transactional methods are the need of the hour.
The parking users would now be able to bypass the current ticket based parking and payment process. Vehicles using this facility can now make payment for entry and exit through FASTag. This will drastically bring down waiting time in the parking for cash payments and reduce queues at the entry and exit of the Terminal 3 parking lot. Private entry lane no.1 and 2 are ticket lanes and dedicated to non - fastag users while Private entry lane no.3, 4 and 5 are dedicated to Fastag users.
DAPS have taken this up as a pilot project. After observing the response, DAPS will plan similar systems at more parking facilities at IGI Airport.
