And, it is a proud moment for us when the Skytrax World Airport Awards has awarded the GMR infra-led DIAL as the Best Airport in India and South Asia in 2022. It is for the fourth consecutive time the Delhi Airport has managed to bag the prize.
DIAL also awarded as the Cleanest Airport in India and South Asia
Skytrax has also accoladed Delhi Airport as the ‘Cleanest airport in India and South Asia’ and rewarded its efforts for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene on the premises. Moreover, the overall ranking of the airport has upgraded, as IGI Airport has stepped up from the last year’s 45th position to 37th place. It is the only Indian airport to secure a spot on the World’s Top 50 Airports list.

A Brief about Skytrax World Airport Awards
The Skytrax World Airport Awards are one of the most prestigious accolades in the airport industry. They review and assess the performance of 550 airports worldwide based on their brilliant services and top-notch facilities. For deciding the winners and rankings, Skytrax hands out World Airport Survey questionnaires to passengers from over 100 nationalities. After evaluating the flyers’ response on indicators like arrivals, security, check-in, and immigration, does it decides the airport ratings.
