New Delhi is a shopper's paradise, to say the least. You find trendy items, antique pieces, clothes, jewellery, cosmetics and what not even in local bazaars and platform shops at extremely affordable rates. Here we have for you some of Delhi's popular shopping complexes and bazaars.

City Centre ( Connaught Palce)
Recently renamed as Rajiv Chowk, Connaught Place (CP) was demarcated as the shopping arcade of the 'new' capital of Lutyen's Delhi in the mid 1930's. Located in the heart of Delhi, CP boasts of colossal white old colonial style buildings.
  What to shop:
 

Craft items, Handcraft, curios, books, ethnic wear, Kohlapuri chappals, Rajasthani paintings and brassware. Another place to visit is the underground Palika Bazaar an air-conditioned shopping centre with stalls of ready-to-wear, costume jewellery, accessories, books etc.

Central Cottage Industries Emporium
Central Cottage Industries Emporium is close to Jawahar Vyapar Bhavan, Janpath where one find a variety of Indian handicrafts all under one roof.
  What to shop:
  The range includes fabrics, household, linen, carpets, jewellery, handmade paper, furniture and art objects in wood, brass and copper.

Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan 
Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan is situated in Regal building and run by Khadi Village Industries Commission. Everything under the sun in khadi is available here that include Khadi cotton, incense sticks, pure honey, readymade garments, handmade paper etc. Special discount can also be availed during 2nd Oct (Mahatma Gandhi's birth Anniversary)
  Open 10 am to 6 pm.

Karol Bagh
Karol Bagh is one of the most famous retail markets of Delhi housing nearly 1500-2000 shops in one long row offering products at best possible prices.

  Food, jewellery and ready made garments.

Chandni Chowk
In Old Delhi, the congested and most densely populated market of Chandni Chowk has survived for more than three centuries. Strewn richly with historical landmarks, this shopping area has shops, which are more than 100 years old. 
  What to shop:
  The narrow streets and bylanes offer a whole plethora of surprises and one can struck some of the best bargains with patience. One of the narrow streets branching off from Chandni Chowk is 'Dariba Kalan', known for its beautiful pearl, gold and silver jewellery. One can also look for natural perumes or 'itra' here.

Ansal Plaza
Modern shopping complex with cozy joints to grab snacks and coffee or just hang out, this Plaza is one of Delhi’s first complexes. Eco friendly with lush gardens and beautiful landscaping one can also find trendy items and modern gadgets.

  All top brands of shirts, watches, Jewellery and gadgets are found in this mall.
South Extension
South Extension, a very popular commercial shopping hub in Delhi is home to all the major Indian products’ brands. It is an upmarket shopping area where quality garments and footwear sell like hot potatoes. Huge departmental stores like Ebony, Big Jos, Lacoste, Reebok are extremely popular and their annual sales are a much-awaited feature.

  High quality garments and footwear, fine jewellery etc.

Sarojini Nagar Market is famous for its export apparel at bargain prices.
  What to shop:
  Casuals and branded clothes are sold at throw away prices. All these clothes are made by top Indian designer brands but are sold at cheap rates because they are in surplus.

A place where the urban and the rural meet and is known for its boutiques and specialty restaurants.
  What to shop:
