Delhi International Airport (P) Limited is a joint venture company comprising of the GMR Group Airports Authority of India Fraport AG (10%)

DEL is one of the most modern airports in the world. The airport has been rated Best Airport in its category of 2 to 40 million passengers in the ACI-Airport Service Quality (ASQ) ratings in 2014.

DEL remains the busiest airport in the Indian subcontinent serving over 115 destinations with 56 International Airlines and 8 Domestic Airlines. With the commissioning of Terminal-3, DEL is able to handle over 60 million passengers per annum. In the last 6 years traffic grew with a CAGR@9.63%. At the end of FY15, DEL catered to 40.8 million passengers.

DEL has a strong catchment area with 25 million potential passengers, spread across a radius of 500 KM. Over 70% of DEL traffic comes from the NCR Region (Delhi City and State, Noida & Gurgaon). Located in one of the most influential political capitals of the world, DEL has the potential to continue its passenger growth and connectivity. DELs location in the northern region of the country allows it to have a strong air service network spreading into northern, eastern and northeast India; no other airport in India enjoys such a large extent of domestic destinations. Other than the domestic connectivity, DEL enjoys the largest international destination connectivity in all of India, as well.

DEL is a fast emerging hub, to be reckoned with, in the South East Asia region. Today, 18.6% of the airports throughput is made up of transfer passengers, and is expected to grow.
